Waxing

WHAT DOES THE PRACTICE OF WAXING COVER?

The practice of Waxing means providing for a fee (or any consideration or exchange, whether direct or indirect), services to enhance the appearance of the face, neck, arms, legs, or shoulders of a human being by the removal of hair by the use of depilatories, waxes or tweezing. The practice of Waxing does not include the practice of electrology.

COURSE SCHEDULE:

Waxing – 75 Hours

MORNING:  25 hours for 3 weeks

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m with 1 hour lunch daily.

MIDDAY:  15 hours weekly, 5 weeks of 15 hours weekly

  • Monday to Thurday, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m & Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m with 1 hour lunch.

EVENING:  15 hours weekly, 5 weeks of 15 hours weekly.

  • Monday to Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m & Saturday 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:

The expectations for the students include being able to:
– Apply theory and practical learning experiences.
– Develop self image so students present themselves with confidence.
– Adhere to the sanitary and sterilization regulations as they apply to waxing.
– Develop an understanding of products and the effects they have on skin and hair removal.

The educational requirements for waxing shall include the following subjects and the hours assigned to each:

Professional requirements 10
Safety and Health 20
Skin structure, disorders and diseases 10
Removal of superfluous hair 35
